Summer digital magazine of Raring2go! Tameside
July is around the corner and the Summer edition of Raring2go! Tameside is all done and ready to go. It's got loads of ideas for parents to keep the children busy over the Summer holidays, along with opportunities to make things, bake things, grow things and take part in the Summer Reading challenge 2021 ( Page 18). Along with this, they'[re running a competition for schools to win a bundle of books ( page 10!) and as they say, you’ve got to be in it, to win it, so the more entries the better!

Proud Principal
In spite of school's being closed to nearly all pupils, our children are working harder than ever and still making us proud. Teachers are planning daily tasks on class dojo (our online platform to communicate and share work) and are able to give children feedback on their work and support parents with ideas and ways to motivate and engage the children!

Junior PCSOs
Monday 13th January saw us launch our Junior PCSO scheme. Parents are being shown the safest places to park by our year 5 and 6 pupils to ensure our pupils have the safest journey to school.

Power of Reading Enquiry
We were lucky enough to be chosen as one of three Enquire Learning Trust schools to showcase our English curriculum and how we have developed approach using The CLPE Power of Reading teaching strategies and high quality texts. The enquiry was led by Ronnie Wood (Director of Learning and Innovation at Enquire Learning Trust), Anjali Patel (Lead advisory teacher for CLPE) and Jonathan Rodgers (Primary Advisory teacher for CLPE) We are very proud of how well our approaches are embedded across school and our Academy Improvement Plan priorities have played a big part in how successful this approach is too.
